Just 8 km from Nijmegen lies the beautiful medieval castle 'Slot Doddendael'. Slot Doddendael is completely hidden from the outside world in the river landscape of Maas and Waal, just 5 minutes by car from the A50 and A73. A stately driveway, bulrushes in the moat, monumental trees on the estate, an amazing private vineyard and orchard, and the white castle with its outbuildings complete the idyll.
Orchard wedding
In the orchard stands our beautiful outdoor venue “Dodden-Binnen-Buiten”. A stretch tent where you can use it all day for a delightful Italian dinner at long tables. There are also many options for a drink or afternoon party. Of course, we always create a nice good weather-bad weather scenario!
Castle
Getting married in the Knight's Hall, having a cozy drink in the Arsenal, intimate dining in the Castle Cellar, and a lively party in 't Spijcker, who wouldn't enjoy that? In nice weather, you can get married outside under the chestnut tree or in the orchard, and the wedding cake can be cut in the courtyard or in the garden.

Slot Doddendael also has two unique castle rooms and a suite for you to stay after your wedding celebration, party, or just for a lovely weekend away. These beautiful and spacious rooms with authentic beamed ceilings are equipped with all comforts. The romantic castle rooms overlook the courtyard, the orchards, and the estate. The two castle rooms are equipped with a bathroom with walk-in shower, sink, and toilet; the suite also has a bath. In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast in the Castle Cellar.
