Parkhotel Hugo de Vries

Parkhotel Hugo de Vries is a stunning Jugendstil villa from 1906. This villa was once home to the internationally renowned biologist Professor Hugo de Vries. During his time here, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize three times, making it a historically significant building – you can feel and see the history! Everything has been modernized but retains the ambiance of that era.

If you're dreaming of a romantic, rustic vintage-style wedding, then you've come to the right place. We have 5 rooms, ranging from small to large, all of which can be used for the ceremony, cake cutting, and/or dinner. Our grandest room is the banquet hall. Each room has its own atmosphere, yet together they form a cohesive whole. This allows you to choose a room for each moment of the day that speaks to you the most.

In the old Hugo de Vries park, which has now become a beautiful intimate garden with a stunning pond, you can have your ceremony, cake cutting, and/or dinner outdoors at long or round tables, surrounded by our old oak trees adorned with string lights. Everything can be decorated to match your style. Styling is important to us! If the weather is less than perfect, we have a charming covered barn available. With beautiful natural light pouring in from outside, it's a true barn wedding venue. Here, you can have both the ceremony, cocktail hour, cake cutting, and dinner.

After you've tied the knot and enjoyed a delicious meal, you can freshen up in the suite before heading to our banquet hall to enjoy a reception in a grand café atmosphere or to have a lively party in a modern setting. The possibilities are endless! We have our own in-house DJ and many contacts for live music. If you prefer to arrange something yourselves, that's also possible.

Once the party is over, you can retreat to the bridal suite, our gift to you for choosing to celebrate your wedding day with us. We'll ensure the suite is romantically decorated with lots of candles and a delicious bottle of bubbly. The next morning, you'll be treated to breakfast in bed.

To extend the celebrations, it's a great idea to let your guests stay in one of our 38 rooms. That way, you can all enjoy breakfast together the next day at a beautifully set table, reminiscing about the day before. Having the entire villa to yourselves is a wonderful experience!
