About the venue
A 'hidden gem in the woods' in neoclassical style in the beautiful Achterhoek.
Huis Verwolde is a nobleman's house from the 18th century and is surrounded by a splendid park with various lawns. It is a special and romantic location for your wedding day. At Huis Verwolde, you can hold the wedding ceremony, have the bridal photos taken, or even celebrate your entire wedding day. On Mondays and Fridays, the museum is closed, and if desired, you can exclusively rent the entire estate.
The Orangerie
The Orangerie was built at the same time as the Coach House. The architectural style matches that of the main house. Now it is an atmospheric location for weddings, gatherings, and receptions.
The closing of a marriage or a registered partnership takes place in the Orangerie or in the garden. All festivities related to this can be organized at Verwolde, such as cutting the wedding cake, champagne toast, reception, dinner, or party. For the photo shoot, you have many beautiful spots to choose from.
The Orangerie accommodates about 50 people with 30 to 50 seats, 20 standing places, and space for wedding furniture for the couple and witnesses. We like to collaborate with local caterers who can provide your entire wedding day without missing anything.
Wedding night in the Coach House
The Coach House with the horse stable was built in 1890. The interior of the coach house is still largely original. Our Coach House has been renovated into a cozy and comfortable accommodation with 3 double rooms, 3 bathrooms, sauna, and a large living room with original historical elements. For availability and prices, you can contact our partner Buitenleven Vakanties. Or stay at De Brenschutte, a cozy and intimate B&B in Laren.
Bridal photoshoot
Have a bridal photoshoot on your wedding day with the house and garden as a romantic backdrop.
All of this with the pleasant and down-to-earth perspective of the Achterhoek.
