Reception
Start the magical day with a warm welcome for your guests in one of the beautiful historical rooms of The Grand. Welcome your guests, for example, in the intimate St. Cecilia room, overlooking the courtyard where everyone will arrive. Our Magnifique Meetings planners are also happy to advise you on various entry options; for instance, it is possible to arrive by boat. This way, as a couple, you can make a Grand entrance while walking from the dock into the impressive courtyard.

Ceremony 
Depending on the number of guests you wish to invite, the ceremony takes place in the Wedding Room or in the Council Chamber. On the first floor of the monumental wing of The Grand is the impressive and romantic Wedding Room, which is decorated with colorful frescoes.

Reception
After the ceremony, there is the possibility to raise a celebratory toast with your guests to the wedding. For the location of the reception, we offer various options: for example, the private balcony of the Wedding Room with a view of the green inner garden or the intimate St. Cecilia room, adjacent to the historical Council Chamber with a view of the courtyard. During this moment, there is of course also the opportunity to cut the wedding cake.

The dinner
Even after the reception, there are various options that our Magnifique Meetings planners are happy to advise you on. For example, it is possible to enjoy the Amsterdam canals with an organized boat tour that includes snacks and drinks. You can also choose to prepare for dinner. Enjoy a luxurious dinner together with your best friends and family in the Mayor's Room or Aldermen's Room.

The party
Conclude the special day festively with a grand or more intimate wedding party. Throughout the evening, we serve the most delicious culinary snacks and drinks while you enjoy the special day without worries!

Decoration 
All historical halls have a monument status and were already in use when The Grand functioned as the town hall of Amsterdam. These beautiful spaces guarantee a unique and romantic atmosphere for this special day. Additionally, flowers obviously add extra beauty to your wedding day. In collaboration with our flower boutique The Floral Designers, we offer the option to create personalized flower arrangements and bouquets. We also provide a wide range of candles, menus, and other decorative items as desired.

Legendary Weddings
The Grand was officially the town hall of Amsterdam from 1808 to 1988. During that time, weddings could only take place at the town hall, and over the years countless couples have exchanged vows at The Grand. One of the most memorable events in the history of The Grand was the wedding ceremony of the former Queen of the Netherlands, Princess Beatrix, in the legendary Council Chamber on March 12, 1966. Football legend Johan Cruijff, Louis van Gaal, and film director/artist Jeroen Krabbé also said their vows at The Grand.

The Grand upholds this tradition, and in recent years we have had the pleasure of welcoming a large number of couples, each with their own beautiful story.
