About the venue
Castle Huis Bergh is one of the largest castles in the Netherlands and dates back to the 12th century. To preserve all this beauty, weddings cannot be held in the castle from October 2023 until June 2026 due to restoration. But do inquire about the possibilities for an outdoor wedding!

Castle Huis Bergh is fairy-tale-like, where the monumental atmosphere of long-gone times has been preserved. You enter another time via the impressive castle gate along the driveway and drawbridge.
The characteristic castle is perfect for the complete wedding celebration, from the ceremony in the Habsburg Hall, the cutting of the wedding cake, and the reception to the dinner and the party. Afterwards, the bride and groom can spend the night in a luxurious suite in a castle tower. Recently, it is also possible to have an outdoor wedding!
The castle and the beautiful surroundings are also a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. And while the bride and groom are busy with the photo shoot, guests can join a guided tour of the castle.

Castle Huis Bergh is located in 's-Heerenberg, a town just east of Arnhem. It is about an hour's drive from Utrecht. The castle is 10 minutes by car from the A-12 motorway. The castle is also easily accessible by public transport. For more travel information, please contact us.
