About the venue

Magical beautiful!

The Realm of the Emperor is a fairy-tale location in the greenery of Amsterdam West. Our wonderful realm is situated on the artist's grounds of the 1800 Roeden and was part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. We have an imperial kitchen and a well-stocked bar. Our colorful staff also guarantees a dreamy wedding. 

In a green oasis of peace and space, you will find the two historic buildings E and F. Both halls have their own unique appearance. You enter the Realm of the Emperor through a blooming inner garden. This is lovingly maintained, just like our own vegetable garden. The inner garden can be covered and heated and can be used for receptions, dinners, ceremonies, or as a drinks spot. This magical location is completely yours and your guests' on your day!

Weddings
Getting married at the Realm of the Emperor in Amsterdam cannot be described in one word. We have seen a lot of wedding happiness at our location. From intimate small to exuberant large and completely over the top. Our location changes like a chameleon to everyone's wishes and colors. Nothing is too crazy for us!

We can cover our blooming inner garden and make your ceremony warm and cozy. Or would you prefer to get married in our rustic hall E? The wooden gatehouse has a beautiful view over the meadows. Our hall F is also a suitable wedding candidate with its 19th-century industrial look. In nice weather, the amphitheater on the grounds is the perfect place for your vows. Dressed up with our splendor of furniture and items, we make your dreams come true.

Kitchen
We love to celebrate weddings exuberantly with colorful and imaginative dishes. In the kitchen of the Realm of the Emperor, we cook in a quirky way. We dine at long tables, just like the Italian family in the orchard. The dishes are served on large platters, and we share them with each other. Our chef uses as many organic and seasonal products as possible, and if possible, from our own vegetable garden.

Afgelopen zomer zijn we hier getrouwd en we kijken terug op een fantastische dag! Alles wat we besproken hadden was goed geregeld zoals wij het wilden. We hebben nergens anders aan hoeven denken dan een leuke dag met onze familie en vrienden, met lekkere hapjes en drankjes. De locatie dacht goed mee in de verschillende mogelijkheden, alhoewel er door Corona veel onduidelijkheid was, waar de locatie wat ons betreft wel wat meer de leiding in had mogen nemen. Gelukkig is alles uiteindelijk goed gekomen. Het Rijk van de Keizer is zeker een aanrader!"

Wij hebben de perfecte trouwdag gehad op deze prachtige locatie. Alles is erg professioneel en goed geregeld. De locatie zelf is heel bijzonder, informeel en sfeervol. Vooral de prachtige en met bloemen en planten gevulde binnentuin maakt voor ons de locatie heel bijzonder. Zowel voorafgaand aan de bruiloft als op de dag zelf is aan al onze wensen voldaan. Het personeel is vriendelijk en relaxt en de kok heeft voor een fantastisch diner gezorgd. Ik zou deze locatie zeker aanraden."

Deze locatie is de verborgen parel van Amsterdam. De sfeer maakt dat alles bijna magisch aanvoelt en daar hebben wij als bruidspaar maar ook onze gasten onwijs van genoten. Maar het Rijk heeft nog een geheime wapen, hun personeel! Vriendelijk, service gericht, goed op elkaar ingespeeld. Hun zorgzame aanpak maakte dat iedereen bediend werd en zich dus tevreden voelde. Het eten was ook zeker lekker en de kok heeft met veel passie verteld over zijn creaties."

Het offerte traject en contact was erg moeizaam. Wij moesten diverse fouten uit de offerte halen voordat het akkoord was. Op de dag zelf hebben zij diverse zaken niet uitgevoerd zoals in het contract stond vermeld. Op de dag zelf, moest ik (bruid) regelmatig in gesprek gaan met de bediening over de opstelling en andere zaken die zij niet hadden gedaan zoals afgesproken. Er zou extra bediening komen om te helpen met de aankeding. Deze is nooit op komen dagen.Toen ik dit na de bruiloft had gemeld kwam er een magere excuus vanaf en werd de schuld bij de bediening gelegd (zij hadden het blijkbaar niet begrepen). Enige tegemoetkoming was niet aangeboden. Erg jammer en heeft toch onze 'mooiste dag' hierdoor iets minder mooi gemaakt. Kortom de lokatie is heel mooi, maar de rest maakt het allemaal minder mooi.."
