The Brielse Boer is a location with a rich history. For generations, the Rodenburg family has farmed and run a business from the Ondernemingspolder, located in Zwartewaal. In addition to arable farming, there has always been another branch of activity on the premises. This is how the Brielse Boer came to be. In 2021-2022, the monumental farm barn was transformed into a meeting and event location. We have preserved the authentic atmosphere while equipping the building with modern conveniences. Huge concrete-look walls, wooden beams, and atmospheric windows alternate with trendy hanging plants, black cladding, and all the comforts of today.
Since May 2023, we have been an official wedding venue for the municipality of Voorne aan Zee. Celebrate your entire wedding day at the Brielse Boer so you don’t have to rush to be on time for the next location. This way, you can fully enjoy your day!
The decor? You determine it entirely yourself! Because this way, it really becomes your unique location that meets all your wishes and fits your style.
We have our own furniture, which we believe fits beautifully in the venue. Comfortable seating with a touch of a robust look.
If you prefer a different style, we are happy to help you with that and have many contacts and examples to shape your dream location together.
We also like to tailor the catering to your wishes. Reception with a treat, toasting with cocktails, shared dining, a BBQ, or maybe a food truck, the wedding cake as dessert? It’s all possible.
For this, we work with a fixed caterer. This way, we ensure that quality and service are present. Since we work custom-made, we have the flexibility to cater to your specific desires for the care of the inner person.
On this special day, you and your guests will receive exclusive service. The location and the team are entirely at your disposal, as we always host one group of guests at a time.
The Brielse Boer officially consists of one space, but due to the thoughtful layout of this venue, it actually brings only possibilities and the location is naturally divided. With the sanitation and an office placed in the middle of the barn, many cozy corners and opportunities arise to make optimal use of the space in various ways.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony can be held in the largest part we call 'the Tas' (read in the description of the indoor spaces where this name comes from). With the beautiful wooden beams and concrete-look walls, not much is needed to style this area. You can accommodate a ceremony of twenty to as many as one hundred and ten guests seated in a theater setup. If you want to make your ceremony even grander, there are certainly possibilities for that as well.
With movable furniture, we can make this space as cozy as we want.
Toast
After the wedding ceremony, it’s time for the Cake & Toast. Depending on the season in which you are marrying and further wishes, this first toast moment as an official couple takes place on the terrace, 'the Koestal' or 'the Dorschvloer'. All guests enjoy a snack and drink while you receive congratulations for your fresh marriage.
Dinner
The wedding dinner is one to never forget. The Brielse Boer works with a caterer. Together with them, you will compose the dinner that meets all your wishes. Truly everything is possible due to the enormous diversity in how the barn can be used. Do you want a beautiful long table in 'the Koestal'? Or rather round dining tables in 'the Dorschvloer' or in the wide part of 'the Inrij'? Prefer a more informal setting with a walking dinner, no problem! In the lovely summer months, a small food truck festival on the terrace with cozy shade sails is also possible!
Party Evening
After the wedding dinner, it’s time for a party evening. Do you choose a relaxed evening on the terrace with fire pits and lights or do you go for a banging party in the barn with your own band or DJ? The catering for the party evening can also be supplemented with special elements, creating countless possibilities for an unforgettable night.
Photoshoot
For beautiful wedding photos, you don’t have to leave the farm. Both inside and outside there are various unique spots to capture your unforgettable day. For example, take pictures by the vintage tractor from 1959 or have your photos taken outside in front of one of the characteristic walls of the monumental barn. If your photographer wants to shoot with a drone, that is also possible.

In advance, you will receive a questionnaire from us, so we can prepare well. We often get feedback that the questionnaire helps the couple on their journey to marriage.
If all wishes are as clear as possible after the viewing, we will get to work for you to put together a quote.
Price Indication
The price indication as shown here on Top Wedding Locations is based on the celebration of a wedding from start to finish at the Brielse Boer. During the day, there are 50 guests present up to dinner, and another 50 guests come for the evening. In the evening, there will be 100 guests.
Ceremony, cake & toast (reception), dinner, and party, everything takes place at our location.
The indication includes: use of the location, use of sound technology for the ceremony, ceremony styling, catering throughout the entire day.
Since we work according to your wishes, many things can be customized.
Of course, it is also possible to only hold the ceremony with us. Or to get married elsewhere and then come to us to celebrate.
The costs for this will differ from the average indicated prices.
