Het Witte Kerkje Terheijden

The building known as the "White Church" in Terheijden is still in use as a church building by the Protestant Community Terheijden-Wagenberg. It is a picturesque church building, sleek and simple (- no unnecessary decorations are applied -) and dates back to 1809. The church belongs to the so-called "Lodewijkkerkjes", several of which can be found in Brabant. The church is currently managed by the Foundation White Church Terheijden, which makes it possible to hold non-religious wedding ceremonies in this monumental church.

The church hall can accommodate up to 120 people and can be arranged according to your own insight using loose chairs, tables, and standing tables. Of course, these may be decorated with garlands, flowers, and other festive decorations. What we do not want is the use of rice and small flower petals on the floor.

At the front of the church hall, we can place two beautiful wedding chairs for the bridal couple, but other options can also be discussed in consultation.

At the back of the church hall, we have a pantry where we can serve coffee/tea, soft drinks, and low-alcohol beverages after the ceremony. We can also arrange for a toast moment with, for example, prosecco. We have a catering permit.

We work together with local suppliers in the municipality of Drimmelen so that you can also have snacks or similar during the reception.

The facilities have been optimized in recent years. There are sufficient toilets, including a disabled toilet, a good sound system for playing music, amplifying singing and instruments, as well as kitchen facilities.

Streaming equipment has been installed in the church hall so that the ceremony can also be watched remotely and/or recorded on a USB stick.

Professional stage lighting is also available so that colored lighting can be used, for example, for photos.

We are not a commercial organization but carry out all activities with volunteers for the benefit of the maintenance of the White Church.
