Het Witte Kerkje Terheijden

The building known as the "Witte Kerkje" in Terheijden is still in use as a church by the Protestant Community Terheijden-Wagenberg. It is a picturesque church building, neat and simple (no unnecessary decorations are added) and dates back to 1809. The church belongs to the so-called "Lodewijkkerken," several of which can be found in Brabant. The church is currently managed by the Stichting Witte Kerkje Terheijden, which makes it possible to hold non-religious wedding ceremonies in this monumental church.

The church hall can accommodate up to 120 people and can be arranged according to your own preference with the use of loose chairs, tables, and standing tables. Of course, these may be decorated with garlands, flowers, and other festive decorations. What we do not want is the use of rice and small flower petals on the floor.

At the front of the church hall, we can place two beautiful wedding chairs for the couple, but other options can also be discussed in consultation.

At the back of the church hall, we have a pantry where we can serve coffee/tea, soft drinks, and light alcoholic beverages after the ceremony. We can also arrange a toast moment with, for example, prosecco. We have a catering license.

We work with local suppliers in the municipality of Drimmelen so you can also use snacks, etc., during the reception.

The facilities have been optimized in recent years. There are sufficient toilets, including a disabled toilet, a good sound system for playing music, amplifying singing, and instruments, as well as kitchen facilities.

Streaming equipment has been installed in the church hall so that the ceremony can also be viewed remotely and/or recorded on a USB stick.

Professional stage lighting is also available, allowing for color lighting to be used, for example, for photos.

We are not a commercial organization but carry out all activities with volunteers for the maintenance of the Witte Kerkje.
