Your wedding, completely your way. At Het Molenhuis, you have all the freedom to fill the day in as it suits you, without fixed schedules or obligations. You only rent the location and the bar from us and keep control over the rest. Het Molenhuis is a fully renovated national monument from 1719 with no less than 124 beds, located by the water and along the Eleven Cities route, so everyone can spend the night and you can celebrate the day together without time pressure.

Het Molenhuis offers couples maximum freedom. You decide how the day looks, whom to involve, and which concept suits you. Arrange your own catering, food trucks, or dinner, choose your own decor, and make the day as personal as you want. We provide the facilities and a cozy bar; your own wedding planner takes care of the rest.

The location consists of several atmospheric rooms with a warm, authentic, and typically Frisian appearance. They are suitable for both an intimate ceremony and a party with more than a hundred guests. Thanks to professional lighting and sound and a fully equipped catering kitchen for your caterer, Het Molenhuis is perfectly set up for weddings that are just a little different.
A great and unique advantage is that everyone can spend the night. With 124 beds, your wedding becomes a complete gathering without time pressure. No goodbyes on the dance floor and no transport to arrange: stay together, celebrate longer, and end the day relaxed. The next morning, there is plenty of space to enjoy together.

The location by the water and directly on the Eleven Cities route, in the middle of Frisian nature, gives Het Molenhuis extra charm. The characteristic sawmill on the grounds is a reminder of more than three centuries of history and provides a unique backdrop for your day.
