Exchange your vows in the old Slotkapel of the castle from 1345 (across from Herberg de Gouden Leeuw). Here you can have both the civil and religious marriage officiated. For this, you can contact the caretaker of the Slotkapel, Mr. Klompenhouwer. You can go to the municipality of Bronckhorst to arrange for a civil registrar.

Reception, dinner, party
After the wedding ceremony, you and your guests cross the street and receive your congratulations during a cozy reception at Herberg de Gouden Leeuw. If the weather is nice, you can of course move to one of our terraces. The reception or toast can be tailored entirely to your wishes.

For a delicious dinner, you can go to our restaurant ’t Pietshuus (oude rosmolen 1675) or De Deel (1650). With a small group, you can dine in the stylish Heerenkamer (1580) or in our recently renovated space 't Huuske, located by the cozy inner garden. Your wedding dinner will be a true culinary experience, where you and your guests will enjoy a variety of mouthwatering dishes. Whether you choose an extensive buffet or a served dinner à la carte, you will lack for nothing. Our chef and his kitchen brigade are happy to create a custom dinner that meets all your wishes.

Do you want to end this fantastic day with a spectacular wedding party or opt for a cozy gathering? Everything is possible, as we can accommodate groups from 10 to 150 people. Herberg de Gouden Leeuw will make your wedding day the most beautiful day of your life.

After an unforgettable day, you can finally take off your shoes and quietly enjoy together in our romantic bridal suite. In this suite with a four-poster bed and a spacious bathroom with a bath, a delicious bottle of Champagne is waiting for you.

Wake up and enjoy a lovely champagne breakfast together?  That's possible too.
If there are more guests who want to stay overnight, we have 15 double rooms, 2 multi-person rooms, 1 apartment, 6 suites, and 1 bridal suite with a four-poster bed. In total, we can accommodate over 50 guests with a bed.
