Our rich history
Fort Werk IV is a unique defensive structure that was part of the New Dutch Waterline, once intended to protect the Netherlands from enemy attacks. Built around 1870, the fort is located at the highest point of the Bussummer Eng and is the last remaining part of a line of five forts. The fort is surrounded by a 'dry moat' featuring a crenellated wall with shooting holes – a unique element that cannot be found anywhere else in the Netherlands. This unique architecture makes Fort Werk IV a national icon and a national monument of great value.

Wij zijn heel blij dat we bij Fier in Bussum zijn getrouwd! Prachtige locatie, fijne sfeer en alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld. Het contact verliep soepel, we werden volledig ontzorgd en het personeel was super vriendelijk. Dankzij de flexibiliteit en exclusiviteit van de locatie voelde de dag écht als die van ons. Een perfecte trouwdag op een top plek!
Afgelopen 2 mei hebben wij elkaar het ja-woord gegeven bij Fier. Vanaf het eerste contact waren wij gelijk onder de indruk. De communicatie is open, in alles wordt meegedacht en de dag zelf voelde als een warm bad. Wat een lieve bediening en Lieke heeft ons de hele dag in de watten gelegd. Heel veel dank lieve Jip, Lieke, Mike en alle mensen die ons zo goed bij hebben gestaan die dag. Het was ge-wel-dig!
We waren getipt over deze locatie en meteen enthousiast! De vele mogelijkheden binnen en buiten, de sfeer, de prachtige omgeving en de vriendelijke & betrokken medewerkers. Van begin tot het einde was het fantastisch! Op de dag zelf liep alles heel soepel, omdat iedereen betrokken en super professioneel was. Echt een enorme aanrader!!
Vanaf het begin hebben wij geweldige begeleiding ontvangen bij het plannen van onze speciale dag. Hierbij heeft ons contactpersoon Jip ons helpen meedenken over de dagindeling en ons geinformeerd over de mogelijkheden op locatie.
