Weddings at The Garden of Amsterdam – De Arendshoeve (Aalsmeer)
The Garden of Amsterdam, located in Aalsmeer just 15 minutes from Amsterdam, is an official wedding venue of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. It is a unique, covered greenhouse location with a botanical atmosphere, where weddings can take place all year round — dry and atmospheric, even in winter.
The venue can be rented exclusively and is suitable for both small and very large weddings, accommodating up to 1,000 guests. The space is flexible and can be fully tailored to the wishes of the couple, with options for different themes such as romantic, bohemian, or even festival style. Food trucks are welcome, and the reception, dinner, and party can take place in separate atmospheres.
De Arendshoeve offers the following wedding package;
- Use of the venue from 15:00 to 00:00 for guests and from 12:00 to 02:00 for suppliers
- Two dressing rooms, a bridal room (in the silo), a stage in the pond, and one custom "plant room"
- Free parking (up to 250 cars)
- Furniture (tables, chairs, bar, cake table, podium)
- Toilet service and security (up to 125 guests)
- Various floral decorations, including hanging flower arrangements, decorations at the entrance, bar, and tables
- Lighting for tables and flowers
- The venue has its own sound system. DJs may use this with their own DJ equipment

Amplified live music or bands are only allowed in consultation. There is a maximum sound level of 78 dB (sound limits can be discussed with the possibility of extension through a permit).
Catering is not included, but the venue offers a furnished catering area, cold storage, and buffet tables. There is a wide choice of caterers; De Arendshoeve collaborates with various professionals.
The Garden of Amsterdam is popular with couples because of its special atmosphere: a 'outside, but inside' experience with lots of greenery, flowers, and personal attention. The venue is known for its service, flexibility, and attention to detail.
