About the space

The Church Hall owes its name to the Catholic background of the Van Duyvelant family. After the States of Holland and West Friesland established Protestantism as the official religion in 1572, this space was converted into a clandestine church where the family could hold Catholic services in private. Today, the Church Hall is one of the most beloved spaces in the castle and has traditionally been the place where many weddings take place. The high windows provide beautiful light, while the authentic wooden beams, wooden floor, and the view of the baroque garden contribute to the warm and atmospheric appearance.

The Church Hall can accommodate groups of up to 120 people and is excellent for wedding ceremonies, dinners, lunches, receptions, and other gatherings. Thanks to the flexible layout options and the combination with the adjacent castle halls, larger groups can also be welcomed. Virtually any desired arrangement is possible.
